ASB
The student-led Associated Student Body plans school assemblies, club rushes, spirit weeks, dances, talent shows, and major campus traditions such as Color Day and Homecoming Picnic. They raise school spirit through Student Activity Card (SAC) sales and assist with programs including orientation and the SPHS Roadshow. Live Broadcasting

CLUBS
SPHS offers more than 50 student clubs encompassing a wide range of social, cultural, and academic interests. Club Rush takes place in early September. Clubs participate in ASB events and campus fundraisers throughout the year. Check out upcoming activities on the SPHS Clubs Instagram @sphsclubs.Â

DANCE
SPHS Dance
The SPHS Dance program showcases a diverse variety of genres including classical, hip hop, ballet, and contemporary. Their highly anticipated Winter Concert takes place in early December. They perform throughout the school year at various assemblies, culminating with a massive Spring Concert production in late May highlighting their graduating seniors. DRAMA
2026-2027 season
Fall Play: Rio Hondo an epic story of a lone stranger with a haunted past who comes back to the Hondo to face his demons; this parody of a classical western is set against the backdrop of the Wild West with assassins, desperados, gunslingers, poets, and cooks.
Spring Musical: Come from Away based on true events in the weeks following the Sept 11 attacks when 38 planes carrying 7,000 passengers were unexpectedly ordered to land in the small town of Gander in Newfoundland, Canada. The musical tells the story of the Gander residents who opened their homes, churches, schools, and community centers to the stranded travelers.
Cabaret: an annual showcase held in February or early March featuring freshmen and sophomores performing skits, songs, solos, duets, and ensemble numbers.

SPEECH / DEBATE
Speech and Debate
The SPHS Speech and Debate team competes in the Southern California Debate League (SCDL) and the California High School Speech Association CHSSA) and hosts the SCDL Spring Novice Speech Tournament for 400 regional competitors.
